Today..

Today I begun to explore some materials I could use for my experiments. I used old lead and coloured pencils I had lying around. A sharpened them until they were around the same size. A then used binder medium to shine and stick them to a painted white canvas board.

A place an magazine cut out of an old painting onto the board and painted it white then put the pencils over the top. 

I decided that the plain pencils looked boring so I used sandpaper to make the pencils look old and used. 

I also sandpapered the board which made the magazine cut outs colours appear.

I covered the pencils with binder to keep them together and give a slight gloss. 

Perhaps it could go in a frame :)
